PhysPharm Seminar Series | Michael Hallett

Michael Hallett, PhD, from the Biochemistry Department will present: "A demonstration of Agentic AI for non-bioinformaticians: Finding blood brain barrier-permeable molecules that target Pin1"

Learning Objectives:

  1. To understand the concept of agentic AI - arguably the most powerful tool humans have ever created - and how its capacity to perform tasks goes beyond standard conversational AI assistants.
  2. To gain insight into some of the limitations and challenges of harnessing agentic AI and pushing it in the right direction through sustained dialogue. This includes issues of EDID, SGBA+ and general socio-economic concerns.
  3. To introduce you to our so-called agentic operating system terms Murmurent, open-source software developed by several groups in Schulich Medicine. Murmurent simplifies the use of agentic AI in biomedical research.
