Join McIntosh Gallery for the opening reception of two MFA thesis exhibitions: Refracted Realities by Natasha Beaudoin, and Distant Sun by Eric Allan Cameron.
Natasha Beaudoin’s Refracted Realities draws on the visual language of historical paintings and recontextualizes it through the cultures shaped by screens and social media, to express how painting can engage the emotional and psychological conditions of contemporary digital life.
Eric Allan Cameron’s exhibition Distant Sun presents intimate paintings that compress the sun, horizons, and night skies into memory-like images, where sustained attention allows quiet, fragile experiences to emerge.
Both exhibitions continue until July 3rd.
Graduate student exhibitions at McIntosh Gallery are presented in memory of King’s College alumnus Gregory Franklin Child through the generous support of Western University Arts and Humanities alumni Paula Case Child and Timothy Child.
