Digital Defense: Sustainable Engagement in the Era of Hyperconnection

As technology has facilitated equitable and accessible flows of information, virtual community building, and digital activism, it has also created conditions for feelings of anxiety, hopelessness, and isolation. This interactive workshop invites participants to reflect on the possibilities of being “hyperconnected and healthy” and engage the question of what well-being in a digital age could look like. In this workshop, participants will explore practical harm reduction strategies for recognizing signs of digital overwhelm, navigating hyperconnectivity with intention, and engaging online in sustainable ways that honour individual needs and lived experiences.
