MS Teams: Exploring Templates
Creating a Team isn’t just about making a space—it’s about setting your group up for success. In this 30 minute Knowledge Boost session, we will build on your Teams knowledge and explore how Microsoft Teams templates help shape the way your team communicates, shares files, and collaborates. Templates come configured with channels, apps, and tools designed to support specific goals, making it easier for teams to get organized and productive quickly.
You’ll learn how choosing the right template ensures your team has the tools it needs.
Session Objectives:
- Distinguish between the Class, Professional Learning, Staff, and Other Teams templates
- Explain how built‑in channels, apps, and roles in each template support different types of work
- Select the most appropriate template for a given teaching, learning, or collaboration scenario
- Recognize and avoid common template mismatches caused by choosing templates based on habit rather than purpose
