Day of Digital Humanities

Day of DH is a global celebration of the digital humanities—a community of scholars, students, librarians, and technologists exploring how digital tools and methods transform the way we research, teach, and engage with culture. At Western University, Day of DH is an opportunity to connect our vibrant interdisciplinary community across faculties, libraries, and research centers. Throughout the day, participants will share projects, methods, and conversations that highlight how digital practices are shaping the humanities—whether through data visualization, text analysis, digital archives, critical making, or public scholarship.

Day of DH invites us to reflect on how digital work bridges disciplines, communities, and ways of knowing. Join us for workshops, lightning talks, posters, and a panel discussion that showcase the creativity and collaboration at the heart of DH at Western. Whether you’re new to the digital humanities or already deeply engaged, we invite you to take part—learn something new, share your work, and be part of the ongoing conversation about what it means to “do DH” at Western and beyond.

We are currently seeking proposal for lightening talks and posters!

Share how digital methods and tools are shaping your research, teaching, or public engagement. We welcome contributions from all disciplines and experience levels—whether you're launching a new project, sharing ongoing research, or experimenting with digital tools and creative practices.
