Using SciVal to Find Evidence for Scholarly Impact
Research impact is the way that research benefits individuals, organizations, and communities. This workshop will walk you through how to use the SciVal tool for research analysis. SciVal has a variety of indicators that can help describe scholarly impact, it uses Scopus datasets for analysis, and it is now available to researchers and administrators at Western.
If you help faculty with research grant applications, award nominations, tenure applications, or if you are involved in strategic planning related to research, this workshop is for you.
Workshop leaders will be Kristin Hoffmann (Research & Scholarly Communication Librarian, Western Libraries) and Qing Liu (Bibliometrics and Research Impact Analyst, Western Research).
