Andrew Halayko, PhD, from the University of Manitoba will present, "Inhibition of the Bronchodilators and Corticosteroids by Lipid Mediators of Oxidative Stress in Lung Disease"
Learning Objectives:
1) Describe pathways associated with the generation of oxidized phosphatidylcholines in the lung associated with asthma
2) Define molecular pathways for heterologous desensitization of adrenergic beta-2 receptors by oxidized phospholipids in the lung
3) Outline emerging evidence for oxidized phospholipid induced insensitivity to inhaled corticosteroids
