Skilling and Deskilling in the Humanities in the Age of Generative AI with Jane Freeman
The Department has invited Jane Freeman from the University of Toronto to share with us some ideas for ways to discuss AI critically and deeply with students as well as ideas for designing assignments that either help to guard against AI usage or that prompt students to engage with it critically. Jane has been doing significant work in this regard in her position as the Director of the School of Graduate Studies' Graduate Centre for Academic Communication. All faculty and graduate students are welcome to attend.
