Today Dr. Nusha Keyghobadi, ActingChair of the Biology Department announced:
"Almost exactly a year ago the 
Biotron Experimental Climate Change Research facility merged with the Department of Biology. The original plans for this merger included the appointment of a Director for the Biotron, with responsibility for promoting and providing scientific direction for the facility. For the past year, as we have navigated the early stages of the merger (and the pandemic!), the Biotron has been without such a Director.
I am very happy to announce today that, with the approval of the Biology Appointments Committee and the Faculty of Science, Dr. Danielle Way will be the new Director of the Biotron. Dani's excellence in research, her familiarity with the Biotron facility, and her strong leadership skills make her an outstanding fit for this position.
The day-to-day operations of the Biotron will continue to be overseen and managed by our very dedicated facilities manager, Carrie Hamilton, and the Chair of Biology. The Director will focus on providing much-needed long-term strategy, planning, and promotion for the facility.
