I am currently looking for graduate students with interests in plant ecology, biogeochemistry, community ecology, physiological plant ecology and global change ecology. M.Sc. position in plant/soil ecology and global change biology. I am looking for an M.Sc. student preferred start date May 2017) to study the role of cover crops in increasing over-winter nitrogen retention under multiple winter climate change scenarios.  There will be a substantial field research component conducted at the Elora field station (University of Guelph), and the student would be registered as a graduate student at the University of Guelph, co-supervised by me and Dr. Claudia Wagner-Riddle (U. of Guelph), with occassional visits to the University of Western Ontario for analytical work. Applicants should have a strong academic record (78% and above). Domestic applicants will be fully-funded, but international applicants will require external funding support.
