The Society of Canadian Limnologists

The Society for Canadian Limnologists (SCL) is the Canadian Chapter of SIL, the International Association of Theoretical and Applied Limnology. The role of SCL is to offer a Canadian forum to discuss limnological research and issues, to promote aquatic research in Canada, and to support the integration of young Canadian limnologists in the research community. SCL organizes an annual meeting jointly with CCFFR, the Canadian Conference For Fisheries Research. This meeting is held in early January, and its location alternates between the western provinces, Ontario/Québec and the Maritimes. SCL has a strong commitment to student participation at these meetings and offers travel awards to offset costs of student attendance.

Both of these vibrant and successful societies come together every year to host the CCFFR/CCRP & SCL meeting. In January 2019, we will meet in London, Ontario.
