Western Strategic Support for SSHRC Success Open Grant

thumbnail_image001.jpgDr. Elysée Nouvet, a medical anthropologist and an Assistant Professor in the faculty of Health Sciences and Francisco Olea Popelka, the Beryl Ivey Endowed Chair in One Health at Schulich School of Medicine & Dentistry received the Western Strategic Support for SSHRC Success Open Grant for the project titled:

"Understanding and Addressing the Realities, Experiences, and Challenges of Community Health Volunteers as Agents for Behaviour Change in the Context of Human and Zoonotic Tuberculosis in Kajiado County, Kenya."

 The goal of this field project is to investigate the social and cultural aspects of community health volunteers working on tuberculosis cases in Kenya. This project is implementing Kenya in the field via collaboration with Talaku Community Based Organization in Kajiado County.
