Western University Interdisciplinary Development Initiative (IDI) One Health Network Grant
In 2021, Dr. Francisco Olea Popelka, the Beryl Ivey Endowed Chair in One Health at Schulich School of Medicine and Dentistry, received the Interdisciplinary Development Initiative (IDI) Grant from Western University. The goal of this IDI is to build the necessary operational and structural capacity to promote and implement collaboration between different disciplines, departments, and faculties across Western University and other academic institutions. The Western One Health Network (WOHN) will integrate academics with key stakeholders from different non-academic sectors and promote the utilization of a One Health approach. The WOHN will facilitate these collaborations through its physical (peer-to-peer) and online platforms.
