Who Are We?

What is the FHS Pulse?

The Pulse is the Faculty of Health Sciences’ official student publication. This year, we have taken The Pulse to an online platform. Each monthly publication is made available to students in all three programs across the Faculty of Health Sciences, and is one of the many platforms established by the Faculty of Health Sciences Students’ Council (FHSSC) to inform, update and connect with students through a variety of multimedia communication. Each edition showcases events from the past month and includes articles submitted by students within the faculty.

How You Can Get Involved

Do you enjoy writing? Are you looking to build your resume? Do you want to have something published that your peers can read? The FHSSC is always looking for student writers and contributors to The Pulse. You can write about anything you’d like- we accept anything from articles to photos to recipies to horoscopes! Articles do not need to be any more than a page, and should be able to fall under the category of Academics, Recreation and Lifestyle.

Writing for the Pulse can be very beneficial, as students across campus will read your work, especially those within the Faculty of Health Sciences.  If you write a total of 3 articles for The Pulse, you can also add this to your resume as an extra-curricular involvement.  This is a great opportunity for people that enjoy writing, as don’t have to be a writer to contribute!
