Working in Canada – What You Need to Know

Are you an international student interested in working in Canada while studying at Western or after graduation? Join Western International and the Career Education team for an interactive workshop designed to help you navigate Canadian work regulations and career opportunities.

You’ll hear from an International Student Advisor (RCIC/RISIA) who will explain the immigration rules around working in Canada as an international student, including on-campus and off-campus jobs, Co-op Work Permits, and Post-Graduation Work Permits (PGWP).

A Career Coach will guide you through the Canadian job search process, introduce career services on campus, and share tips on resumé writing, networking, and understanding Canadian workplace culture and expectations. You’ll also learn about career services and ways to build your skills through campus opportunities.

Whether you're just getting started or planning for life after graduation, this session will help you feel more confident about your next steps.
