Western Music's Salsa Band—aka Los Gansitos—is thrilled to welcome world-renowned percussionist Fausto Cuevas III, percussion as guest artist for the ensemble's fall concert. Planned program includes salsa classics with a special emphasis on solo artistry from the guest star who joins us as part of a guest artist residency at the Don Wright Faculty of Music from November 25 to 29.

The Salsa Band, dubbed Los Gansitos ("the baby geese") in honour of Western's perennial guest stars, plays music from places like Cuba, Puerto Rico, Colombia, Venezuela, and New York, commonly known as ‘Salsa.’

This guest artist residency is supported by the Music Undergraduate GiftFund and the Moscovich Fund for Innovation in Music, established with a visionary gift from Jim and Barbara Moscovich.

Location: Paul Davenport Theatre, Talbot College, Western University
