Critical Indigenous Memory Studies: An Invitation
This talk offers an invitation to think memory and memory’s role in Indigenous studies. It does so by using critical lenses to think through the differences and specificities of Indigenous memory, conceptions of memory in and for specific Native and Indigenous Nations, as well as in and in relation to Settler memory and the field of Memory Studies. Why pursue a Critical Indigenous study of memory? What does such a study enable? And what questions does it disclose?
