Community Partnerships

Building Safety Through Strong Partnerships

Learn how the Western Special Constable Service works with University departments, emergency services, and community organizations to support prevention, response, and recovery.

Working Together for a Safer Campus

Western Special Constable Service works closely with University departments, emergency services, healthcare providers, and community organizations to support campus safety.

These partnerships strengthen prevention, emergency response, investigations, education, referrals, and recovery after significant incidents.

By sharing information, coordinating responsibilities, and connecting people with specialized support, WSCS and its partners help provide a more consistent and effective response to the needs of the Western community.

  • Coordinating emergency response and major-incident management
  • Supporting investigations that involve multiple services or jurisdictions
  • Connecting community members with healthcare, counselling, shelter, and specialized support
  • Improving emergency preparedness, prevention, and safety education
