Africa Day at Western University

The Africa Institute at Western is pleased to announce that it will be hosting an Africa Day celebration on May 25, 2026. The event will highlight Western’s engagement in Africa, showcasing research and partnerships across faculties, and will bring together faculty, staff, and students to celebrate community and collaboration.

Poster Session – Showcase Your Work
The poster session will highlight the diverse and impactful Canada–Africa research across the Institute and the wider Western community. This low-barrier opportunity welcomes those with existing posters or work to share.
Submissions are open to students, faculty, and staff:

For those unable to attend in person, digital poster submissions may be submitted using the same form. A curated online showcase will highlight Western’s Canada–Africa collaborations.
Poster registration is separate from the Main Program. Attendance at the main program requires a separate registration (event form above).
Volunteer Opportunities
Volunteers are invited to support with event preparation and coordination on the day.
