The IDRC International Doctoral Research Awards (IDRC-IDRA) build capacity and develop research skills in Canada and the Global South to improve the lives of people in the developing world.

Through the Africa Institute, QE II Scholar Badru Mugerwa has been discovering the fears of animals within Uganda's Bwindi Impenetrable National Park. His research has been focused on identifying how conservationists can strike a balance between wildlife and ecotourism.
