Practicum Exhibition: UWO Visual Arts Under Grad Exhibit

It is said that space is an infinite frontier. Space Cowboys and the Paint Ranger set out to explore this frontier but foiled by gravity, they are bound to earth. The space they explore is not outer space but its bureaucratic counterpart, institutional space — the architectural and symbolic boundaries of the University. Considering the oscillation between institutional and outer space, assignments and artistic freedom, rules and their subversion, Space Cowboys and the Paint Ranger investigates the paradoxes which structure art education.
