The Artlab Gallery is a purpose-built exhibition space designed to showcase contemporary and historical works of art. Located at the North end of the John Labatt Visual Arts Centre, the gallery is a square room situated within a cylindrical external structure. It is approximately 1600 square feet in size, with 30 foot high ceilings and has programmable track lighting for variable usage.

The Artlab program is focused on projects that involve and/or respond to student and faculty research and practice. A Steering Committee meets on a regular basis to develop a slate of exhibitions and projects that represent the breadth of department interests. Each year approximately twelve projects are presented, showcasing a range of production that includes all mediums.

While the Artlab does not accept unsolicited submissions, the Steering Committee and Department are open to projects and initiatives of all kinds that have the potential to connect the Department with the University, the City of London, the Southwestern Ontario region and beyond.
