Privacy Considerations

Privacy and security are taken seriously at Western University and we want to ensure that our members feel comfortable in the use of technology. When using technology platforms, particularly those with visual and audio capabilities, it’s essential to prioritize privacy and confidentiality.

Security Considerations

To better serve our community and the use of Zoom at Western defaults have been changed for some of the optional settings for Zoom meetings. These defaulted settings can be turned on or off by the host (typically, the creator of a meeting), on a per-session basis, for classes or meetings where such interactions are necessary.
