Are you ever feeling hungry on campus and want to explore more places to eat? If that’s the case, then I have some great recommendations on where to fulfill your craving. As someone who loves to try new foods, I have made a list of a variety of places that you can try out. A great spot for students to grab the perfect lunch would be The Spoke Cafe located in the University Community Centre. Here there are a variety of bagel types you can purchase along with a few smoothies, cold and hot coffee options, and freshly baked treats on the side. My personal Spoke bagel order would have to be a jalapeno cheddar veggie bagelwich with herbs and garlic cream cheese along with a mango glow smoothie. In the same area, you can also find The Spoke Kitchen which includes filling options perfect for both lunch and dinner like quesadillas, burgers, wraps, bowls, and salads. Overall, The Spoke is the perfect spot if you are looking for a lively environment to grab a quick meal with your friends in the heart of campus. Further in the UCC, there is a selection of eateries including Subway, Bento Sushi, Tim Hortons, Starbucks, Jugo Juice, and a food hub that contains a variety of places to eat.

In the Food Hub, there are various places to satisfy any craving including Manchu Wok, a Chinese fast food chain as well as Paramount, a Mediterranean restaurant with halal options. Other options in the Food Hub include The Fixx, a popular burger restaurant, and notably a new vegan burger eatery called Odd Burger. The Odd Burger is a new eatery on campus that has been creating a lot of buzz with students lately. Many students who are vegetarian or vegan have been loving this spot! This place features a series of burgers, milkshakes, tater-tots, and many more. My personal favourite from the Odd Burger is their Buffalo ChicUN burger along with a side of fries and a milkshake.

If you are studying at Weldon, a great place to grab a refreshing drink is at Chatime which has been a favourite spot for many students. At Taylor Library there are many places close by in the Natural Sciences building that students can grab a bite from. This includes Einstein’s which is a popular spot for students to grab cafe-style food to start the day. The Nucleus is another food hub-style place in the Natural Sciences Building that includes seating. In this eatery, there are more filling options for students such as Pizza Pizza, Tim Hortons, Casa Burrito, and a Teriyaki Experience.

The UCC is not the only place with a variety of eateries, Somerville House contains an eatery along with seating on its ground floor called Lucy’s. This spot contains a Bento Sushi, Noodle Box, and a Quesada. If you are studying further from the main food hubs on campus like Middlesex College, there is The Grad Club that includes breakfast foods, wraps, sandwiches, and pub-style foods.

Whether you are craving a filling meal, a quick snack, or even a fresh drink, many new and tried and true spots on campus have you covered.
