Ammanat Mann

"Hi I’m Ammanat, I am in my fourth year majoring in Psychology. I decided to become a Digital Peer Leader for Thrive Online because I want to share my experiences and stories here at Western through a creative network. I hope that my experiences can help students who want advice, inspiration, or simply want to get to know more about the lives of Western students through our lens"

What's one of the best books you've read? One of the best books that I have read would have to be Room by Emma Donoghue.

Who is your favourite artist/band? My favourite artist would have to be Rihanna, her global impact and outreach is incredible, and her music is simply timeless.

If you could travel to any city in the world, what city would it be? I would love to travel to Lake Como in Italy!

Amy Li

"Hi, my name is Amy! I’m in my fourth year of Medical Sciences, completing an honours spec in IMS. I chose to become a Digital Peer Leader because I want to share my experiences with students and help them ease into university more smoothly. Being a part of Thrive Online also means that my words can reach so many people which is pretty neat."

What's one of the best books you've read? Across a Green Ocean by Wendy Lee. A story about an immigrant family and searching their past - very touching and relatable!

Who is your favourite artist/band? Lana Del Ray

If you could travel to any city in the world, what city would it be? Osaka, Japan

Arnov Bhatt

"Hello, I'm Arnov, currently in my second year of Computer Science. One of my all-time favorite quotes is, "Life is like a box of chocolates. You never know what you're gonna get." Funny thing is, that sentiment holds just as true for my blogs! The thrill of crafting content that's both intriguing and unpredictable is a big part of what motivates me in my role as a Digital Peer Leader/Writer for Thrive Online."

What's one of the best books you've read?  The best book I’ve read is called “A Man Called Ove by Fredrik Backman”

Who is your favourite artist/band? It's a tough question because I genuinely enjoy listening to both Laufey and NF.

If you could travel to any city in the world, what city would it be? I'd choose to travel to Tokyo because I've had the privilege of living in Japan before, and my heart holds a special place for both Osaka and Tokyo.

Sydney Leung

"Hi, I'm Sydney and I am currently in my fifth year at Western, pursuing a degree in BMOS with a specialization in Finance and a major in Sociology. Vianne Cai

"Hi, I'm Vianne, I'm currently a third year student in medical sciences. Being a digital peer leader is such a rewarding experience. I enjoy having freedom in creativity and combining different media to amplify a message. Even though we're in a university environment, communication can still be fun and expressive!"
