When you’re trying to tell a funny story, but you laugh so hard that you can barely speak

I am the type of person to laugh at anything at any given moment. If I’m happy, I laugh. If I’m nervous, I laugh. If I’m upset, I laugh. I always end up laughing at something. I don’t know why I do this but it’s probably a coping mechanism. Regardless, there have been many situations where I find out something that’s really funny and I try to explain that story to someone else, but it’s so funny that I laugh uncontrollably and end up not telling the story until I calm myself down. Even if it’s when other people are trying to tell me a funny story, their laughter is so contagious that I end up laughing at the fact they’re laughing rather than the funny story that they were supposed to tell me. I think the most contagious and the best kind of laugh is when you laugh so hard that you start crying and no sound comes out.

It is scientifically proven that laughter is the best medicine, in fact, laughter is supposed to strengthen your immune system, boost your mood, reduce pain, and alleviate stress. There is even a thing called “laughter yoga” that exists where people meet regularly just to laugh.

So, if you’re ever laughing too hard because of your own joke or a funny story, don’t feel bad for your laughter because the other person probably appreciates it more than you think and will end up laughing with you.
