Navigating Difficult Conversations in the Classroom

In this upcoming session, Dr. Zoe Leyland (she/they) will guide educators through creating an accountable classroom environment, fostering the capacity to navigate challenging discussions. Dr. Leyland will offer insights and strategies to empower educators to hold space for difficult conversations, particularly regarding equity, diversity, inclusion, decolonization, and accessibility. Educators will have the opportunity to explore and address conversations they previously felt uncertain about handling within their classrooms. Dr. Leyland will provide concrete examples to illustrate effective approaches. Additionally, participants will gain access to resources focusing on inclusive language and methods for cultivating empathy. Join us as we delve into strategies for fostering accountability, enabling educators to facilitate crucial dialogues, and cultivate a more inclusive learning environment.
