Academic Advising

counselling

Academic advising is available to students in the Arthur Labatt Family School of Nursing to provide the necessary resources to navigate the undergraduate Nursing programs at Western. The information provided by advisors in Nursing is intended to help students get the most out of their academic experience. Support is available through Nursing academic advisors, who are available by scheduled appointment (see below) or through Live Chat during designated times.

Live Chat Support

During Selected Times Only

The Nursing academic advisors are pleased to offer a live chat - through Microsoft Teams - to assist students with answers to quick questions or finding information. Students are asked to adhere to the chat schedule so that we can provide the appropriate level of service. Messages left outside of the dedicated chat schedule will be deleted.

Appointment Types

Academic Advising Appointments: These appointments are for students currently enrolled in our Nursing programs who need assistance with their academic plan, experiencing academic difficulties, requests for academic relief/accommodation, registration assistance, urgent matters, etc. Students who need more than 15 minutes should book two back-to-back appointments (e.g. 9:00 and 9:15).

Prospective Student Inquiries: Inquiries are best addressed via email to nurse@uwo.ca. Admission and application inquiries should be directed to Western’s Undergraduate Admissions department via welcome@uwo.ca. A limited number of Zoom appointments are available for Prospective Students who prefer to meet with an academic advisor to learn more about the program.
