The Simulated Education Suite features advanced technology that immerses students in high-fidelity clinical scenarios within a safe, supportive and controlled setting. Lifelike manikins, virtual reality, and trained actors provide opportunities for students to enhance their learning, confidence, and competence in nursing practice.

Sim Suite

Purposefully designed as an immersive and safe learning environment, the Simulated Education Suite enables students to translate and apply theoretical knowledge into practice via hands-on learning.

Experienced nursing faculty guide students through a diverse range of clinical scenarios. Students engage in structured and small group learning working through each theory- and evidence-informed simulated clinical scenario designed to enhance their knowledge, skills, and clinical judgement.

Virtual Simulation

Western Nursing incorporates accessible, AI-powered healthcare simulations into designated courses to enhance students’ learning. These simulations provide a safe, flexible, and supportive environment for developing key interviewing skills, including active listening, empathy, and effective communication.

Through realistic clinical scenarios, students build confidence and prepare for patient-centred care in real-world settings. On- and off-campus access ensures adaptable learning to suit a range of academic and personal schedules.

Simulated Patients

To enhance and support student learning, Simulated Patients are integrated across a variety of simulated clinical scenarios. These trained actors portray patients, providing students with opportunities to practice in realistic clinical situations.

The deliberate and purposeful integration of Simulated Patients allows students to interact with and provide care to individuals in a controlled setting, enhancing their ability to engage in therapeutic communication and provide client-centered care.
