Funding - Scholarship Opportunity: Lyle Makosky Values and Ethics in Sport Fund

The True Sport Foundation, a national charitable organization that promotes values-based and principle driven sport, has received a major gift from a donor who is a firm believer in, and advocate for, fair and ethical sport in Canada.  In an attempt to encourage others in the sport sector, including young people studying in various sports disciplines, to also study, provide advice, explore solutions and advocate for sport that is fair, safe and open to everyone, Mr. Lyle Makosky, former Assistant Deputy Minister, Fitness and Amateur Sport, has established the “Lyle Makosky Values and Ethics in Sport Fund;” administered by our foundation.

Please find attached an outline of this sport studies scholarship including links to the terms of reference and the on-line application form.  In 2018-19, the Fund will award a minimum of two $2,000 scholarships to two successful applicants; we are committed to growing the Fund and expect that it will provide multiple annual awards in the coming years.

The application deadline for this Award is April 30th, 2018 (for the 2018-2019 academic year). We are therefore asking that you please share the scholarship information as soon as possible with your faculties and schools offering programs in:
