Shield Your Skin and Hair From School Stress
Now that school has started again, which means tons of cramming for exams, tons of studying and tons of assignments. All the procrastination and staying on top of school would cause so much stress which would ultimately affect your skin and hair. Stress would cause pimples, break outs, hair loss as well as hair thinning. Along with our education, we care and worry about our skin and hair very much as well, but being so invested in school we do not have time to go buy products or to do the research on the best products to use. Sometime the cost of products can be expensive and most of our money is being used for school. Luckily, we do not need these expensive products, we just need to make a stop by the kitchen to make our own simple, easy and effective products.
Did you know that we have dead skin on our body that needs to be replenished? These dead skin makes skin to look flaky and skin begins to peel. You may want to buy a scrub, but save the money and make your own scrub at home. All you need is sugar and olive oil, mix them together and scrub your face for five minutes. The sugar helps to exfoliate the skin and the olive oil moisturizes your face and nourishes your skin with important nutrients that may be lacking. Also, this scrub is edible and contains no harsh chemical. This only needs to be done once per week as too much scrubbing can strip away all the nutrients and make the skin conditions worse.
School stress often can be reflected from our skin because we worry about school so much that makes the skin look dull. To brighten and rejuvenate the skin, all you need is an egg white. Crack an egg and collect enough egg white to cover your whole face skin surface. You need to put a single layer of egg white on the face and then peel it off once it is fully dried. What to do with the rest of the egg? Don’t throw it away, make an omelet or put the rest on the hair. Egg yolk helps to thicken the hair and prevents hair fallout.
The most annoying thing on the face is pimples and the next annoying thing is the acne caused after when the pimple is gone. One way to remove pimple is take sandalwood powder and mix it with enough water or rosewater to make a thick paste. Apply this face mask for 15 minutes and wash it with warm water. The sandalwood face mask would dry the pimples and the pimples would be gone quicker and would not leave a mark. This should not be done than twice a week because overuse of this mask can cause dry skin. Always remember the most important part is to never pick on pimples or do not force remove it, otherwise it would cause acne that can take a while before it fully disappears. Also, to fasten the process of removing pimple is to apply toothpaste directly on the pimple. The toothpaste needs to be white and not coloured.
Lastly, stress causes hair loss and hair thinning. Castor oil is amazing to thicken your hair. Castor oil is very thick and can be difficult to wash out, so mix it with another oil, most preferably coconut oil or olive oil. The proportion of both oils being mixed should be approximately the same (50:50). Castor oil can be applied on eyelashes overnight which helps to lengthen eye lashes so you would not need false lashes.
These are some fun, inexpensive, and easy methods I use to maintain my skin and hair and hope they do wonders for you. But always remember that you would have to eat right to stay healthy for these methods to work. These methods do not substitute for good and healthy foods. Most importantly, always remember to drink as much water as possible to wash away toxins and for a clear face.
