About CANSpine
CANSpine is the transdisciplinary clinical research group of Co-Directors Dr. Alison Rushton and Dr. David Walton located at Western University and the London Health Sciences Centre in London Ontario, Canada, with partners internationally.
It is widely acknowledged that assessment and management of musculoskeletal spinal pain disorders is an international challenge and comes at great patient and societal cost, particularly as many problems become long term chronic conditions.
There are two arms of CANSpine research that form a continuum from idea through to clinical implementation. Dr. Walton leads the Innovative Solutions for Spinal Pain arm and Dr. Rushton leads the Clinical Translation arm. Together these two arms work together to address the spectrum of research across the framework of interventions for complex problems from theory to translation and back again.
