Welcome to the Laboratory for Stable Isotope Science (L.S.I.S.) web page. The laboratory is part of the Department of Earth Sciences at The University of Western Ontario in London, Ontario, Canada.

The Laboratory for Stable Isotope Science (LSIS) was founded at Western in 1987 by Fred J. Longstaffe. Core faculty members in LSIS currently include Fred J. Longstaffe (Director; Earth Sciences, Anthropology, Chemistry), Neil R. Banerjee (Earth Sciences), Elizabeth Webb (Earth Sciences) and Christine White (Anthropology). The laboratory conducts research across the range of stable isotope science, including bioarchaeology, biology, ecology, environmental science, geochemistry, geology, hydrology/hydrogeology, meteoritics and paleoclimatology.
