What Is AlertWesternU?

AlertWesternU is Western’s emergency notification service. It is used to share urgent safety information, protective actions, and important updates with members of the Western community.

Emergency Management maintains the official AlertWesternU information, including current registration instructions, notification options, and app guidance.

WSCS and Emergency Response

During an emergency, Western Special Constable Service may support the campus response by:

  • Responding to calls for service
  • Coordinating with police, fire, paramedic, and other emergency partners
  • Supporting evacuations, access control, traffic control, and perimeter safety
  • Conducting welfare checks or assisting people in affected areas
  • Following and supporting the protective actions communicated through AlertWesternU

Always follow the instructions in an AlertWesternU message and any directions provided by emergency responders.
