A Safer Place to Meet

The Western Special Constable Service (WSCS) is pleased to offer a Buy & Sell Safe Zone, a designated on-campus location for members of the Western community to complete transactions through online market places such as Kijiji, Facebook Marketplace and other online platforms. 

Why Use the Buy & Sell Safe Zone?

Buying and selling online can leave you vulnerable to risks such as fraud, theft and robbery, whether the exchange of goods and payment happens in person or through the mail. To help keep our community safe, WSCS invites you to use their office lobby to complete your online transactions.  The Buy & Sell Safe Zone provides peace of mind with a well-lit, video-monitored environment and a visible WSCS presence. Located in Lawson Hall, Room 1257, the space is open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year. 

Using the Safe Zone

If you have arranged to buy or sell an item online, you can arrange to meet the other person at:
