A new book from Biology Professor and Staff
Sometimes we forget that not all vertebrates follow the mammalian model of tissue and organ structure.
Professor Emeritus Donald McMillan and Richard Harris have a new book out that shows how varied these differences can be in their text called the Atlas of Comparative Vertebrate Histology. The book looks at the microscopic tissue structure of a wide range of vertebrates, representative of all the major classes and families, with examples ranging from lamprey, to toads, to leopards and cowbird.
