Ruth Ideva is currently completing a Master’s of Management of Applied Sciences Candidate, specializing in Global Health Systems in Africa at Western University. During her undergraduate, she completed a Bachelor’s of Sciences in Biology and Psychology at the University at Buffalo. While at the University at Buffalo, she volunteered at many different hospitals both in Buffalo and her home country in Nigeria. During this volunteering, she learned a lot about patient care. She took patients’ vitals, patients’ notes and learned about the administrative part of healthcare (billings, keeping patient’s records, etc.) Ruth Ideva is passionate about preventative medicine. She believes that by enabling everyone to have access to basic health care especially in developing countries, most infectious diseases can be eradicated. She wishes to educate the general population about health-related issues within their communities.
