Research Project: Brain function in neonate and infants


Patrick was born in the Democratic Republic of Congo and moved to Rwanda when he was 6 years old. He earned a bachelor degree from medical school. He has been serving Rwandan population as a general practitioner in the rural area. He has been working with children with brain functional impairment especially cerebral palsy, his dreams were to enhance and gain more knowledge on brain function. As a recipient of the Queen Elizabeth II Diamond Jubilee Scholarship, he enrolled in the Master’s in Neuroscience at Western University/Brain and Mind Institute .He is now working with Dr. Rhodri Cusack on brain function in neonate and infants, implementing and designing a new and affordable tool for fetal brain function assessment in the developing world.
