Internship Project: A Gendered Perspective on Migrant Women Farmers' Lived Experiences in the Brong-Ahafo Region of Ghana
Jemima Nomunume Baada hails from Nandom-Bekyiellu, in the Upper West Region of Ghana. She holds a bachelor’s degree in Sociology from the University of Ghana, Legon and is currently pursuing MA Health Geography at Western University, under the supervision of Professor Isaac Luginaah. As a Queen Elizabeth Scholar, Jemima seeks to examine the lived experiences of women farmers who have migrated from the Upper West Region and are resident in the Brong-Ahafo Region of Ghana, in order to know the challenges these women face in carrying out their productive and reproductive activities, as well as the health and economic services presently available to support these migrant women farmers.
