Diato Akoth is from Kenya near the shores of Lake Victoria. Growing up in this remote location exposed her first hand to maternal problems faced by women in rural Kenya.This passion is her motivation in the Master's of Management Applied Sciences (Global Health Systems in Africa). She is currently working on the Access to Quality Care through Extending and Strengthening Health Sytems (AQCESS) at the Aga Khan University Hospital where they are developing research tools for the project. She believes the knowledge and experience gained shall help better the delivery of maternal and newborn health services.
