Two excursions are planned for the afternoon of Monday August 13, 2012. Transportation for both excursions will be with Great Canadian Coaches (http://www.greatcanadianholidays.com/) on one of their luxury motor coaches. Space is limited to 52 persons for each excursion. Enjoy the spectacular phenomenon that is Niagara Falls, and then tour the Hillebrand Winery. The tour follows the path of the grape from the vineyard through the cellar to the finished wine. You will see the inner workings of the winery and learn about wine-growing, fermentation and barrel aging. A structured tasting of three VQA wines, including one Icewine, will be conducted. Finish up with a three-course meal in the Vinyard Pavillion, a large dining room with floor to ceiling windows that allow guests to experience dining amongst the vines. In season, these windows disappear allowing guests to dine al fresco. Guests will dine from the seasonally inspired Group Menu offerings, available with the Winemaker's flight (a paired selection of wine with each course). Alternatively, wine can be purchacsed on site at the time of the meal. Prices include applicable taxes and gratuities. dune shores of lake Huron. The site has an interpretive centre, sandy dunes, hiking trails and barbeque facilities. Dinner will include a BBQ on the beach. Note that no alcoholic beverages are allowed in the park. Prices include applicable taxes and gratuities.
