Facilitator's Guide
This guide is intended to support individuals and groups in their discussions and reflections related to the elements of the toolbox (videos, posters, flip books), and in their efforts to bring these elements into dialogue with the specific concerns of the context in which they work with their lived experiences and with the studies in which they may be invited to participate. The goal of this PRET is not to convince participants that they should participate in a study. Instead, PRET aims to support participants in navigating invitations to research, informing them about their rights as research participants, and supporting them to assert their rights and refuse/accept participating in the study. For each tool, the guide presents information on research ethics, ideas for starting and sustaining the conversation, and more in-depth information on the principles or themes in question for facilitators.
