Description: |
All subject areas may apply. Created by an endowed donation from Petro-Canada, this program recognizes, promotes and supports the work of new faculty researchers whose work is particularly innovative, impacts positively on the learning environment in the department in which they study, and has the potential to be of significance to society at large. The program is intended to help attract and retain bright young minds at Canadian Universities, colleges and major research institutes and to help young researchers launch their scholarly careers and enable them to carry their research forward. Full-time faculty members with an appointment at Western are eligible from the date of their initial offer of appointment at a university up to their 8th year on faculty. Priority is given to research related to Petro-Canada's areas of interest. |

Application Details: |
All applications must be submitted in the online submission portal by 4:30 pm on the deadline date.The program is administered by Western Research under the general terms of reference outlined in the PCYIA guidelines. The competition is held once per year. Completed proposals and results will be administered in electronic format only.

NOTE: All research-related grant applications, letters of intent, contracts and agreements requiring an institutional or organizational signature must submit related documents to the Office of Research Services for review and approval. Requests for institutional signature should be received a minimum of five to ten business days before the
posted Sponsor deadline. Please see Western Research's website regarding the institutional signatory process for more details. Specific opportunities may have their own timelines and requirements for submissions. A ROLA Proposal submitted by the PI and bearing department and faculty approvals is required. |
