Description: |
The Western SSHRC Explore Reapplication Grant program is funded by an annual block grant from
SSHRC. Proposals are reviewed and administered through the Office of Research Services. These funds
are targeted at supporting independent researchers who applied to a recent SSHRC funding
opportunity and were unsuccessful in being funded. This funding aims to address specific
improvements in the applications highlighted in their SSHRC review reports and to increase the
likelihood of success in future SSHRC competitions. Please review the guidelines for full details. |

Application Details: |
By invitation only, the program will have deadlines that follow SSHRC competition results. PIs must have
applied to one of the following SSHRC funding opportunities: Insight Grant, Insight Development Grant,
Partnership Grant -Stage 1, Partnership Grant ? Stage 2 and Partnership Development Grant. Eligible
applicants will be identified each year by Western Research based on application ranking and overall
competition success rate.Eligible applicants will receive an invitation to apply, indicating a specific deadline for their submission.

NOTE: All research-related grant applications, letters of intent, contracts and agreements requiring an institutional or organizational signature must submit related documents to the Office of Research Services for review and approval. Requests for institutional signature should be received a minimum of five to ten business days before the
posted Sponsor deadline. Please see Western Research's website regarding the institutional signatory process for more details. Specific opportunities may have their own timelines and requirements for submissions. A ROLA Proposal submitted by the PI and bearing department and faculty approvals is required. |
