Weak tornado in central AB from Aug 12

The NTP has confirmed a weak tornado at Carbon in central Alberta from August 12. An EF0-Default rating has been assigned since no damage was reported. There were a number of other reports of funnel clouds on both August 12 and 13 but evidence for a ground circulation could not be found other than for the Carbon event.

Description: Witness reported a tornado and several witnesses captured video and photos of the associated funnel cloud west of Carbon. No damage and no injuries have been reported. The preliminary EF-Scale assessment is EF0-Default. Start time is estimated based on witness report. Satellite imagery review is pending.
