EF0 tornado in southern QC on Aug 2
The NTP has confirmed an EF0 tornado at Repentigny in southern Quebec on August 2. The tornado developed as a weak supercell thunderstorm moved through the area. A damage survey recorded high-end EF0 damage.

Description: Damage to trees and buildings in Repentigny was reported after a storm passed through the area. No injuries were reported. An NTP ground and drone survey was completed on August 5, 2026, documenting the reported damage. Damage assessed as EF0 tornado, with an estimated max. wind speed of 130 km/h, track length of 1.00 km and max. path width of 100 m. Tornado motion was from the SSE (approx. 160 degrees). Start time is radar estimated. Satellite imagery review is pending.
