Organizing Your Folders and Files in Teams

Each Team hosts a file structure similar to Windows or OneDrive, where you can create and nest folders to easily organize your work. This file structure is found in the Files tab, at the top of every Channel.

Each Channel within teams as its own Files tab which can help seperate relevant information, however it will also mean another destination to direct users to.

To create folders in Teams:

  1. In Files, select New then select Folder
  2. Once your folders are created you can upload documents and organize accordingly

For extra organization, folders can also be colour-coded. Right click on any folder, then hover over Folder Color to change its colour.
