The closest hotel to the university is the Station Park Inn, about a 20-30 minute walk or 10 minute drive.
The Hilton is considerably further.
When you register for the conference you will be issued bus passes. The Richmond bus (#6), which passes
a block from the Station Park is quite frequent, and enters the university. You can also walk a few blocks
from the Hilton to take the same bus along Richmond, or you can transfer.
