This student-led program helps London seniors take control of their health
Kinesiology student, Zeyad Alyas, and Kevin Shoemaker, a professor and scientific director of the Canadian Centre for Activity and Aging at Western University are behind a program that has Western University students conducting blood pressure screenings at city-run seniors' fitness classes.

Land Acknowledgement
We acknowledge that Western University is located on the traditional lands of the Anishinaabek (Ah-nish-in-a-bek), Haudenosaunee (Ho-den-no-show-nee), Lūnaapéewak (Len-ahpay- wuk) and Attawandaron (Add-a-won-da-run) peoples, on lands connected with the London Township and Sombra Treaties of 1796 and the Dish with One Spoon Covenant Wampum. Manage Certification & Register for Courses
MyCCAA is the online hub for the Canadian Centre for Activity and Aging. It provides a centralized portal for searching and registering for CCAA courses, downloading Records of Completion (ROC) after training, and for managing Seniors' Fitness Instructor Course (SFIC) certification and renewal.

Moving Research into Action for Older Adults
The CCAA is a not-for-profit national research and education centre within the Faculty of Health Sciences at Western University. It is unique in Canada as it promotes physical activity and the well-being of older adults through a combination of basic and applied research, educational resources and community-based programs.
