The Department of Women’s Studies and Feminist Research invites applications for a one year limited term faculty position at the rank of Assistant Professor in the area of women’s, gender and sexuality studies. Applications will be considered from qualified applicants who currently have, or are close to completion of, their PhD. Demonstrated experience in undergraduate teaching, plus ability to teach at least 1.0 of the department’s first year courses (1020E, 1022F/G, 1024F/G) is required, as is expertise in some combination of feminist theory, intersectionality, sexuality studies, critical race studies, masculinity studies, and popular culture, representation and media. Responsibilities will include 4.0 teaching, including potentially a graduate course in the candidate’s area of interest, and service to the Department and the Faculty. This position will start July 1, 2018 and salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience.
